Which entrance should I use?
The main entrance into the lobby is from the main parking lot. It’s the big double glass door. You can’t miss it. This entrance is the best place to enter for worship at any of our services or for any other purpose. The narthex is up the steps to your right. To get to the chapel you can go through the narthex on your right or you can go straight up the steps towards the parlor and enter through the door on the right. The fellowship hall is down the lobby straight ahead as you enter. The church offices are located on the left as you enter the lobby and walk straight toward fellowship hall. An elevator to both the chapel and downstairs Sunday School rooms is located in the lobby straight ahead toward your right. Greeters are on duty just inside the doors into the lobby on Sunday mornings for all services. They will direct you to worship services, the nursery, rest rooms or meeting rooms and can answer a variety of questions that you may have.
Our Worship Services
All of our worship services are liturgical - that is they follow a prescribed form consisting of four sections:
Holy Communion
Holy Communion is celebrated at all worship services. At the Sunday morning worship services you can come up to the altar rail and kneel. Then you receive a peace of bread and wine is poured into individual cups you pick up on your way. Grape juice is also available. Instructions for Holy Communion are in the bulletin plus you are directed by the ushers. During Saturday evening worship service and contemporary service, communion is served by intinction with each person receiving a wafer that they then dip into the wine in the chalice. For more information about what Holy Communion is, what it means and its importance, click on Holy Communion.
How should I dress?
All are welcome at Trinity no matter how they are dressed. Typically most people dress casually for all the services.
We will not embarrass you
You will not be asked to stand and introduce yourselves. You can feel free to come to the Holy Communion or just stay sitting in the pew. Greeters will welcome you and help you with anything you need. Feel free to sit wherever you like, fill out the friendship pad and please introduce yourself to people sitting next to you. Bulletin that you receive as you enter chapel will lead you through the worship service.
Coffee Hour
Please join us for conversation and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday morning between the early and late services. Consistent with our Lutheran tradition, coffee and donuts are available to enhance the conversation and fellowship. (We don’t have coffee hour during the summer worship schedule.)
